Retired Police Officer Don B. Alexander passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at the age of 71. He is survived by his wife of over 20 years, Jo Lynne “Jody” Alexander; son, Don B. Alexander III and family; brother, Mark C. Fabert and family; sister, Holli Barrington and family. He started his law enforcement career with the Dallas Police Department and the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office. He joined the Houston Police Department on March 31, 1975, Academy Class #69. During his career with the Houston Police Department, Police Officer Alexander was assigned to the Central Division, Narcotics Division, Northeast Division, North Division, Vice Division, Northwest Division, and the Auto Theft Division. He retired on May 20, 2000.
