Glenda Sue Gardner

Glenda Sue Gardner, age 72, passed away quietly at home surrounded by her son, daughter, and nephew on Sunday, February 18th, 2024.  To say that she was well loved by everybody who knew her would be an understatement.  Glenda grew up in Ft Walton Beach and lived in Navarre for most of her life.  Well known as the owner/operator of Cutter's in Navarre, she was also an active member of the Navarre Crew of Jesters for many years.  Holiday Inn Navarre Beach's singing bartender could belt out White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane while mixing the best in beverages to happy locals and vacationers in the Island Club lounge and entertain the masses with her infectious laugh without any effort at all.  People who knew her loved to be around her and loved to be a part of the fun she brought with her everywhere she went. Her love of sewing and quilting gave her a talent that created the most beautiful clothing for her daughters when they were younger and quilts for everyone in her life as they got older. Glenda had a shoulder to cry on, and ear to listen, and advice to be given for anyone and everyone who needed one or all of those options.  She loved her grandchildren more than life itself and took care of everyone in her family with a love that could not be matched. And to say she was a bit sassy would make anyone laugh at the memory of her spicy "hairdresser" attitude bringing the memories they have of her in those moments.  

Glenda goes to meet her late husband, Lee M. Gardner Jr and leaves behind the broken hearts of her brothers Frank, Billy, and Michael and sisters Sandy and Janice; her son Aaron Stokes, daughter Andrea Hamilton, daughter Theresa Walker, Grandchildren Makayla, Cadence, Avee, Amanda, Aryn, McKinnan, and Noah and her first great granddaughter, Marceline.  "Nana" will be greatly missed but her memory will live with us forever.
