Robert John Haas, age 91, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017 in DeFuniak Springs, Florida.  Bob was born in 1926 in Dubuque, Iowa. He was a veteran of WWII in the Army Air Corps and was a member of the Peace Corps. Bob graduated with his Law Degree from Saint Johns University and practice law many years in the Long Island, New York area. Bob was an avid outdoorsman and loved to sail. He also enjoyed sharing his wit of humor by sharing stories of happening in his life and career with those who wanted to listen. Bob leaves his cherished memories of his life to his loving wife of 17 years, Bettye Haas; his five children Dan, Lynn, Bobby, Chip, and Chris; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; as well as other family members and friends. A Gathering of friends and family will be 8:30 am Tuesday December 26, 2017 at McLaughlin Mortuary, 17 Chestnut Avenue SE, Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Funeral services will be 9:00 AM Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the services at Woodlawn Cemetery in Perry ,Florida.
