Alice R. Cunningham, 93, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at the hospital in Ft. Walton Beach, FL. She was born on November 10, 1928, in Buckatunna, MS and resided in FWB for over 50 years.
Alice worked in various positions before retiring from the Okaloosa County School System. She was a member of the Cinco Baptist Church for many years. One of Alice’s passions was dancing; she enjoyed her membership with the Psarda Club. She also valued her years of walking with friends at the mall. Alice always enjoyed a good joke.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Alice and Frank Sullivan; her beloved son,
Tommy Ray Coxwell; her grandson, three brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her in-laws, Mickey Sullivan of Buckatunna, Dorothy and Mervin Coxwell of Waynesboro and Norris Coxwell of Mt. Zion; two daughters: Sherra Montgomery of State Line, MS and Linda Ladner of Navarre, Florida; her son-in-law, Mike Ladner, six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, as well as host of nieces and nephews. Services for Alice will be held Saturday, November 5. 2022, at Freeman’s Funeral Home located at 1305 Skyland
Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Visitation is from 9:00 until 10:00 AM; followed by a graveside service at 10:30 at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
