Ann G. Graham

Ann “Geri” Graham, 85, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida passed away on “Resurrection Sunday,” April 12, 2020.  Geri was born in Fulton, Mississippi to Mabel and Arthur Reese.  She married Kenneth Graham, her husband for 62 years, and raised a family. Geri and Kenneth moved to Fort Walton Beach in 1957.  Geri was a homemaker when her girls were young and worked outside the home when they were older.  While working at Howard Johnson, she competed in and won the “Miss Hospitality” contest.  Her prize was a trip to Miami where she attended the Jackie Gleason Show and met “Flipper.” Later, Geri worked for the Okaloosa County School Board in different capacities until her retirement in 1996.   Geri was known for her beautiful yard where she spent many hours tending to her flowers.  She was a member of the African Violet Society and Valparaiso Garden Club where she won numerous awards over the years for both her violets and other arrangements.  She took great joy and pride in her flowers and watching them grow.  Geri loved sharing her flowers with everyone.  She also enjoyed crocheting and made doilies, table coverings, and dish towels.   She was a member of First Baptist Church Fort Walton Beach for many years.  Geri was an active member and sang in the choir, taught children’s Sunday School and Mission Friends, and participated in the Women’s Missionary Union (WMU).  Recently she was a member of Village Baptist Church in Destin.  She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth.  She is survived by her daughters Beth (Charlie) Clary and Amy Ingram, granddaughters Joanna (Mark) Bonfanti and Laura (Martin) Bayr, and great grandchildren Lucy and Caroline Bonfanti and John and Alex Bayr.    Services will be graveside 10:00 AM, Wednesday April 15, 2020 at Beal Memorial Cemetery.
