Annette M. Meginniss

Annette McFarlin Meginniss died peacefully in her home at Brookdale Senior Living in Miramar Beach, FL on June 30, 2018. A memorial service will be held at Christ the King Episcopal Church in Santa Rosa Beach on July 16 , 2018 at 10:30 followed by a reception in Sandefur Hall. Her remains will then be interred at Trinity Episcopal Church in Mobile.

Annette was born in Quincy, FL in 1921. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, the Rev. Ben Meginniss. She is survived by her four children, Crawford Sandefur (Jerry Lancaster) of Santa Rosa Beach; Andy Meginniss (Tricia) of Birmingham, AL; Jack Meginniss (Brenda) of Huntsville, AL; and David Meginniss (Barbara) of Tuscaloosa, AL. She was also survived by her three grandchildren, Ben Meginniss, Christie Meginniss, and Sarah Meginniss Folse, and her great granddaughter, Annette Folse.

Annette was an accomplished musician, having studied music at Florida State College for Women (now FSU). She was also a fabulous cook, an avid gardener, an expert seamstress, a gracious hostess, a hard working church volunteer, a friendly and fun loving person, and a wonderful mother. She was greatly loved by her family, her friends, and her loyal sitter and companion, Annette Whitner.
