Bernice D Spier

On Wednesday, July13, 2022, Bernice Davis Spier, loving mother of three children, passed away at the age of 92. Bernice was born on May 17, 1930, in Augusta, Georgia, to George and Anne Davis. She received a degree in chemistry from LaGrange College in 1950, and worked most recently managing the lab at the county water treatment facility. On August 11, 1951, she married Wallace Spier. They lovingly raised two sons, Jeff and Mark, and a daughter, Stacy. Though focused on raising her children, Bernice had many passions. She was an avid reader and for much of her life read two books a week. She loved to sing and shared her beautiful voice with the Sugar Beach Acapella Chorus and the FUMC choir. Plants, flowers, and animals brought her joy. She was known for her incredibly nonjudgmental attitude and her kind and compassionate spirit. Your prayers and condolences are appreciated and comforting to her family at this time.Bernice Spier's visitation will be Monday July 18, 2022 at 2:00 pm followed by a service at 3:00 pm at the Fort Walton Beach First United Methodist Church.
