Betty L. Nix

1927-2018

Betty L. Nix, age 90, of Fort Walton Beach, FL, passed away on July 30, 2018. She was born to Julius and Hilda (French) Grosz on November 3, 1927 in New Orleans, LA. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family. She was wonderful homemaker, an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. Betty loved to travel, she enjoyed visiting the mountains as well as her hometown of New Orleans. She had a tremendous talent of art and taught painting classes from her home for many years. She is predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Ronald Nix; sons, Louis, Paul and Mark Hebert as well as her parents. She is survived by her daughter, Roxane Dowd and husband Kevin, granddaughter and great-granddaughter, Alicia and Isabella Adams.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 2nd at 12:00 PM at McLaughlin Mortuary, 17 Chestnut Avenue SE, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service. Interment will be a private service for immediate family members.
