Catharine Beck Branson “Kitty”, 86, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Philip Lanier Branson, Jr; her son, Philip Lanier Branson, III; her parents, Horace and Betty Beck; her sister, Mary Elizabeth Leamy; and her grandson, Branson Alexander Jenkins.  She was a native of Atlanta, Georgia and a longtime resident of Destin.  She is survived by her daughter, Kate (Johnny) Dorland; her daughter Peggy Branson; grandchildren, Vanessa (Eric) Kuennen, Wright (Shannon) Branson, Travis (Kate) Dorland, Anne Dorland, John Branson, Luke Branson, Laura Anne Branson; and three great grandchildren, Delaney and Mylie Kuennen and Stella Dorland.  Kitty graduated from Washington Seminary in Atlanta in 1949 and attended University of Georgia, where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.  A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Destin at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 12th.
