Charles Richard Dutrow Jr USMC, age 89, of Santa Rosa Beach Florida passed peacefully on Friday December 22nd 2017 in Miramar Beach. Charles was born to Marjorie and Charles Dutrow in Washington DC on November 17th 1928. Charles moved from Beltsville Maryland to Santa Rosa Beach in 1987 with his wife Patricia after his retirement from AT&T. Chuck's distinguished 75 year professional drumming career included seven years in the USMC Band. He was devoted to his family and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His life was filled with lots of love, light and joy; when he left this world, he knew he lived his life to the very fullest. Chuck is predeceased by his wife, Patricia Cole Dutrow and daughter Shelley Dutrow Bailey. Chuck is survived by his three sons, Charles R. Dutrow III of Nichols Hills Oklahoma, Jeffrey Mark Dutrow of Apalachicola Florida, Timothy Scott Dutrow of Santa Rosa Beach Florida, his brother Dr. George F Dutrow of Durham North Carolina, son-in-law Joseph S Bailey of Mountain Park Georgia and grandchildren Emily Patricia Bailey of Mountain Park Georgia, Audrey Diana Dutrow and Olivia Truth Dutrow of Apalachicola Florida.
Family will be receiving friends for a viewing at the McLaughlin Mortuary on Thursday December 28th, 10-11:00 a.m. A graveside service with military honors and burial will follow at 12:00 p.m. at Gulf Cemetery, Santa Rosa Beach.
