Clara Ethel Walls

Clara Ethel Walls age 84 passed away peacefully in her sleep at her residence in Navarre, Fl. On Saturday Mar 19, 2022.  Clara was born on April 5, 1937, in Banner, Mississippi to Otis and Lois Collins. As a family they lived in Marks, Ms. and then moved to Clarksdale, Ms., where she attended school and graduated from Clarksdale High School.  She was Baptist by faith.  She married Harold Walls in May of 1955.  After living briefly in Texas they moved to Fort Walton Beach Fl. The couple had 3 sons and 1 daughter.  Clara was someone that everyone looked up to.  She worked in sales at various Dept. Stores and began working at the Holiday Inn when the family moved to Navarre around 1972.  After the Hotel was destroyed by Hurricane Ivan, she was employed by Walmart until she retired.  She was devoted to her family and always put them first.  She loved and doted on her grandchildren and many Great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband Harold in 2000, Brother; Clinton Collins, and Sister; Ouida Collins Hood.

She is survived by her Sister; Myra Collins Hayes, Children:  Bobby Walls (Sherry) San Antonio, TX, Russell Walls ( Julie) Navarre, Fl. James Walls, Navarre, Fl. And Daughter Carol Walls Griffin (John) Galliver, Fl.  Grandchildren; David, Jessica, Wayne, Christine, Jonathon, Michelle, Michael “J R “and numerous Great Grand Children.

The family will receive friends at a visitation on Thur. Mar. 24, 2022, from 1-2 p.m. at the McLaughlin Mortuary, Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. Following services burial will be in Beal Memorial Cemetery.
