Tribute

In loving memory of Daniel Lawrence Winter Sr.

Dan was born in Berwyn, IL on December 11, 1950.  He spent his childhood in Downers Grove, IL.  With some of his fondest memories at his family home on Bruce Lake.  Out of high school he served in Vietnam for the US Army and was honorably discharged with a National Defense Service medal, as well as the third highest military combat medal, the Silver Star Vietnam medal.   Dan went on to become a successful lifelong small business owner who reinvented his success numerous times throughout his working career.  Dan loved NASCAR, boating, scuba diving and traveling which eventually lead him to FL in the early 80’s and finally retiring to the panhandle area.  Everyone that met him loved him.  He was a cherished father by his three children, loving husband and amazing friend.  Dan passed away surrounded by his family on September 11, 2021.   He will be greatly missed by all.  Until we meet again.

He was predeceased by his parents Charles R. Winter Sr., Dorthy R. Winter and younger brother, Dean J. Winter.  Dan is survived by his children, Julie (Winter) Gonzalez, Daniel L. Winter Jr. and David A. Winter;  his wife Carol A. Winter; his brother, Charles R. Winter Jr.; and sister, Christine (Winter) Tober.

Those who overcome will be sons of God – The earth attains its celestial glory… 4) and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

He will be greatly missed by all.  Until we meet again.
