It is with profound sadness, that I announce the passing of my Mother, Dolores T. Huling, who was my best friend and hero. She left us while sleeping peacefully on August 12, 2019 at the age of 88. She was born on October 3, 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio to Paul and Rose Kantor. She married her best friend and soulmate, Walter P. Huling on April 23, 1949 and they celebrated forty-one years together. She was proud of her Hungarian heritage and her upbringing ensured that she treated all with respect, courtesy and dignity. An elegant and peaceful soul, she always placed the happiness of others ahead of her own and her kindness and bright smile captivated all she met. She lived a full life as a homemaker and was dedicated to helping animals throughout her life. She was a Lifetime Member of Animal Protection League and a Charter Member of the Panhandle Animal Welfare Society. She was a loving and dedicated Mother to Michelle T. Oblak of Jacksonville, Florida, a dear sister to Rosalyn Kantor and the late Paul Kantor of Cleveland, Ohio and the friend and Mother-in-Law to Richard M. Oblak who she always looked upon as a Son. She wished to thank the physicians at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Jacksonville, Florida for their amazing care as well as Dr. Eddie Negron, her physician of thirty years in Fort Walton Beach. A viewing and celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 20, 2019 from 6-8pm at McLaughlin Mortuary, 17 Chestnut Avenue SE, Fort Walton Beach, FL. Interment at Arlington National Cemetery will follow at a later date where she will join my Father in eternal rest.
