Doris Evon McDonald

Doris Evon McDonald, born Thursday, November 11, 1920 was called home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 after a short illness.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, LC William T McDonald; son Tommy D McDonald; brother Dean Christenson and sister in law Pauline.  She is survived by her son Brian McDonald, daughter in law Barbara; Grandchildren – William McDonald, Warren McDonald and Lori Klees; and 3 Great-great grandsons.

Doris was born in Nebraska and met and married her husband in Denver.  They were married for 67 years and were well traveled thanks to the Air Force.  They retired in 1964 to Fort Walton Beach, Florida.  She was a member of Cinco Baptist Church.  She lovingly describes her career as that of a homemaker.  She loved playing cards, dominoes and making lap robes for the elderly.  Instead of flowers you can make a contribution to Cinco Baptist Church in her name.  There will be a graveside service for the family on Monday, March 30, 2020.  A celebration of life service will be held as soon as we can meet with larger groups.  We thank you for all your prayers.  The family wishes to thank Emerald Coast Hospice for their love, help and support.
