Edna L Marler

Mrs. Edna Lois Marler age 83, daughter of the late Thomas Alexander Broyles and Gussie Broyles was born July 12, 1938, in Sylvania, AL. She went peacefully to be with our LORD on November 21, 2021. She was married to Bruce “Pappy” Marler for 22 of her happiest years residing in Destin, FL where she touched many of the locals’ lives serving them with food and kindness. She was a very hard worker and proud server for over 50 years and loved every minute of it.

Edna’s family and friends were everything to her. Her purpose was to take care of others – everyone was her “baby”. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bruce “Pappy” Marler, daughter, Donna Teems, son, Jesse “Frankie” Teems, and great-granddaughter, Alana Peaden.

She had a heart of gold and her beautiful life will be forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Billy Teems of Ellaville, GA and Darryl Teems of White, GA; daughter-in-law: Terri Teems of White, GA; and 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

 Visitation will be at McLaughlin Mortuary on Saturday, November 27, from 12 – 1 pm, Funeral service at 1 pm. Interment will follow at Marler Cemetery.
