Humbert V. Ricketts passed away on March 12, 2019. Youngest of 10,Humbert was born on June 4th, 1924 to William Edward Ricketts and Viola Jane Richetts in Boonville, Mississippi.
He proudly served the U. S. Army in WWII, earning a purple heart among other awards. He married Hazle B. Billingsley on June 14, 1947 in a double wedding with brother Clyde Ricketts and wife Mary June Graham in Maridian, Mississippi. He worked for the Singer Corporation, becoming the first sales manager for the Fort Walton Beach, Florida store. He and his family have been active members of the Church of Christ at Fort Walton Beach for over 62 years. Humbert loved being out in nature, fishing, and caring for plants in his yard. He looked forward to meeting and greeting people with his warm smile. He loved his family and will be greatly missed. Humbert is survived by brother Clyde Ricketts, children, Humbert Ricketts II and Janice Stokesbary, granddaughter Kelly Stokesbary. A graveside service with military honors will be held at Beal Memorial Cemetery in Fort Walton Beach on Monday, March 18th at 11am
