Jack Henry Harp, age 94, passed away on March 25, 2022 with family members by his side. Jack was born in Pensacola, FL on October 24, 1927 to Matthew and Blannie Henderson Harp (Peaden). Jack was a devoted and loving husband and father, and was loved by everyone who came to know him. Jack was a devout Christian who never passed up the opportunity to share the good news of Jesus to others. He was very active in his church, serving as a Sunday school teacher, Deacon and Board member for many years. He will be greatly missed by his loved ones, who are comforted by knowing that he is now in his heavenly home. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife of 67 years, Gladys, his daughter (Ruth Solomon), 3 brothers, 1 sister, granddaughter (Angela Harp), and grandson (Johnathan McDaniel). He is survived by his current wife of 8 years, Pat, as well as 5 children, Gary Harp, Lindsey (Glenda) Harp, Jackie Ochampaugh, Hope (Jeff) Cook, Son-in-law Scott Solomon (Ruth), Sherry (Mike) McCullough, 2 brothers, 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Thursday March 31, 2022 from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M.; as well as from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. on Friday April 1, 2022, at McLaughlin Mortuary, 17 Chestnut Avenue S.E., Fort Walton Beach, FL followed by a service at 11:00 A.M. in the McLaughlin Chapel. The service will be officiated by Pastor Tim Black of Emerald Coast Church Assembly of God. Burial will follow at Beal Memorial Cemetery.
