Janet Arlene Kunkle

Janet Arlene Kunkle, 83, died peacefully at home November 2, 2020. She was born January 2, 1937 in Otsego, MI.

Janet was a loving homemaker, an avid gardener and loved cooking. Janet managed Friendly Florist in Ft. Walton Beach for 25 years before retiring with her husband, Charles G. Kunkle in Shalimar FL. Janet and Charles celebrated 45 years of marriage in June.

In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her daughter Dana M. Pund. She is survived by her husband, Charles G. Kunkle, and her sister, Ruth King; her son Mark Sweetland and his wife Connie of Crestview, FL, grandchildren, Jessie and his wife Lara, and grandchild Sandi Sweetland of Pensacola FL; Her great grandchildren Clarissa and Samantha Sweetland; her Daughter Tracy Sweetland of Santa Rosa Beach FL. Andy and Melissa Kunkle of Sumter SC, and grandchildren Megan Kunkle of Washington DC and Emily Kunkle of Sumter SC; Dennis and Dori Kunkle and grandchildren Andrew and Luke Kunkle of Jacksonville FL. Grandchildren William Pund Jr. and Garrett Pund of Atlanta, GA.

A service of remembrance will be held Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 2:00 pm followed by a reception at McLaughlin Mortuary, 17 Chestnut Ave SE, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548.
