Joe L. Orr, age 79, passed away on Friday, November 10, 2017 in Fort Walton Beach, FL. He was born in 1937 in Portland, Indiana. Joe was preceded in death by his parents Homar and Ollie Orr, a daughter Julie Slater, a brother Bill Orr, and a sister Mary Robleod. He had a love for books and was a very patriotic man. Joe served fourteen years in the United States Air Force as a Captain and pilot and later became a pilot for 23 years for TWA as a Captain as well. Joe also was a huge sports fan as well as a Star Trek fan. Joe leaves his cherished memories to his loving wife of 16 years Patricia A. Harcrow-Orr; a daughter Laurie Walser; a sister Anna Sutton; two grandchildren Chandra Richardson and Joseph Richardson; two great grandchildren Makahla and Buddy; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 12:00 p.m. Friday, December 1, 2017 at McLaughlin Mortuary in Fort Walton Beach with a gathering of friends and relatives starting at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be at Beal Memorial Services following the services.
