The world has lost another Angel; Joyce M. Sadler, 88, of Fort Walton Beach, FL, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 25, 2020.
A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, December 1 at 10 am, with a visitation from 9-10 am at McLaughlin Mortuary with interment followed at Beal Memorial Cemetery.
Joyce was born in Meridian, Mississippi, in 1932 and raised in Fort Walton Beach. She was the older of two children to James and Irene Miller. Joyce attended school at old Fort Walton High and graduated from Florida State University, where she met her husband, Fred Sadler, an Air Force Officer. After traveling the world and raising five boys, Joyce was the Executive Director at Alice Starkey Daycare, where she retired in 1992.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents James and Irene Miller, husband Fred Sadler, and sons David, Mark, and Paul Sadler. She is survived by her sister Pat (Clarence) Adams, sons Tim (Sharon) Sadler, Joel (Jeannie) Sadler, daughter in law Beth Sadler, grandchildren Marguerite, Joshua, James, Annie, Christopher, Cassie, Catherine, and great-grandchildren Jeremiah, and Trenton Sadler, all of Fort Walton Beach. The family would like to thank the staff of Belvedere Commons and Pastor Sam Parkes of Mary Esther United Methodist Church for love and support throughout this difficult time.
