Lindarat S. Curtis

Lindarat S. Curtis passed peacefully at her home on Thursday, July 9th at the age of 84 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Kanchanaburi, Thailand to Keiym and Hemn Samrongsap, Linda traveled to the states when she married Laurence M. Curtis in the late 1960s.  After retiring from Okaloosa County School District, Linda enjoyed tending to her garden, cooking for friends and family, and maintaining her properties.  She is survived by her soulmate and companion, Bernie Sweka; her twin daughters, Paetai C. Miller (Tracy) and Paitoon C. Waites (Jerome); her grandchildren, Jacob Waites (Holly) and Jessica Waites; and her beloved family in Thailand: Sumaung Boonmag, Amnuay Samrongsap (Thongpien), Pienglatai Reserve, Athivat Saesap, and many nieces and nephews.  Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, July 16th from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at McLaughlin Mortuary, 17 Chestnut Ave SE, Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Funeral Service will follow from 11:00- 12:00 p.m. Burial will be at Barrancas National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. for immediate family only.
