Lorraine B Godfriaux

Loraine B. Godfriaux, age 100, died peacefully with her Chaplain and family at her bedside, on the morning of Friday, June 28, 2019.

She was born in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, on September 16, 1918.  Lorraine was one of 10 children of Leo Laszewski and Bertha Tetzlaff.

In 1938, Lorraine married her life partner, Lloyd N. Godfriaux.  They were married for 54 years until Lloyd’s passing in 1992.  They were blessed with a son Bruce and a daughter Robbin (Lorraine’s words).  Lorraine was predeceased by her daughter Robbin and her husband, Richard Engel.

Lorraine is survived by Bruce, his wife Lois, their sons Paul and Mark, Mark’s wife Koshilie and their sons, Andrew and Alex.

Robbin and Dick’s family Eric Engel, his wife Lisa their son, Cody; Laurel Engel Archambault, her husband, Hank, daughters Alyssa and Sydney; Robb Engel, his wife Kyla, their daughters Brooklyn, Georgia and Emily. Lorraine is also survived by her brother Roy Laszewski and his wife Joanne.  There are many nieces, nephews, neighbor’s and home healthcare workers who loved Lorraine and she loved them.

A Memorial service will be held to celebrate Lorraine’s life this fall.
