Mable Marie Guiney was born April 5th, 1943, in Norfolk, Virginia. She lived in Williamson, West Virginia before moving to Euclid, Ohio where she lived as a young girl and teenager. Known as Marie to her family she was a fun-loving, polite, and courteous sister who treated all with kindness. She enjoyed her brothers and family much. Marie attended Euclid Central Junior High School and graduated from Euclid High School. Marie was active in Calvary Assembly of God Church in Euclid and Willoughby Hills, Ohio as a child and teenager, and was married there. She attended Evangel College in Springfield, Missouri, and graduated on August 1, 1969, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. After graduation from college, she volunteered in the (V.I.S.T.A.) program which was Volunteers of Service to America. Marie enjoyed teaching school and after marrying lived in Hawaii, Kansas, Utah, and traveled abroad with her husband who was in the Air Force. Marie also served in the Army National Guard. After she and her husband were stationed in Florida she spent her remaining years there, living in Fort Walton Beach. After retirement Marie and her husband opened up the Wash About, a laundry service company in Fort Walton Beach. Marie's interest was writing her brothers' letters, corresponding with elected officials, arts and crafts, and proudly maintaining her home. She was married to Paul Guiney, who also passed away.
