Martha Thomas

Martha Jean (Mills) Thomas joined the Lord peacefully on December 7th of 2021 at home with family and loved ones. Martha Jean was 84 years young being born on June 19,1937 in Shorterville, Alabama. Martha Jean was born to Johnnie Raleigh Mills and Laura Irene (Jordan) Mills whom previously went to be with the Lord. Martha Jean graduated with the class of 1955 from Eufaula High School in Eufaula, Alabama and was a spirited member of their cheerleading squad. Other than her parents, Martha Jean was preceded in death by her sister Laurette Shell Mills at a young age and brother John Robert Mills. On October 2nd of 1959, Martha Jean wedded Robert Lowell Thomas Sr. of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. Martha Jean is survived by a loving sister Barbara Dean(Mills) Wood and husband Burdette Wood of Eufaula, Alabama. Together Martha and Robert (Bob) Thomas are survived by Robert Lowell Thomas Jr. and wife Holly S.Thomas of Tampa, Florida and his two daughters Emily Grace Thomas and Ashley Marie Thomas. William Todd Thomas and his wife Nancy Ellen Thomas of Lexington, Kentucky. Bradley Scott Thomas of Fort Walton Beach, Florida and his two sons Nicolas Scott Thomas and James Braden Thomas of Destin, Florida. Martha Jean was a receptionist in the dental and medical fields in which there she was blessed with many glorious friends and coworkers. She was a part-time model and a full-time Beauty Queen. Martha Jean Thomas was a devoted wife, mother, sister and friend. Thank you for all the wonderful memories! We sincerely thank Emerald Coast Hospice and all others that shared love and care! Celebration of Life will be on January 29th at 3:00 p.m. at Water Vue at Brooks Street,203 Brooks St. SE, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: First Baptist Church, 21 First St. SE, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548
