Michael "Mike" C. Johnson

Michael Johnson was born on August 26, 1958 in Dayton, Ohio and entered eternal rest on March 29, 2018 in Pensacola, Florida.  Mike is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Kathy, and their 4 daughters, Jessalynn Harness; Lisa Cottrell; Valerie Pettis, and her husband Jaryd; Lainey Johnson, and her fiancé Matt.  His siblings Doug Mathes, and his wife Katheryn; Mitzi McNeil, and her husband Gary; RA Johnson, and his wife June; Duffy Adams, and his fiancé Stacy & Curt Adams.  His grandchildren, Kalan, Justice, Lilyth, Dakota, Mya, Cameron, Micayla, Charlie, and Addison; as well as his many nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom he loved dearly, and his lifelong best friend and partner in crime, Dan Jones.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Helen Johnson, as well as his sister, Barbara Parrish.  He was a 1976 graduate of Meadowdale High School in Dayton, Ohio.  Mike was a licensed mechanical contractor in heating and air conditioning for the last 41 years of his life.  A Christian by faith, Mike was a member of the First United Methodist church and was a well-known and respected member of our community and will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.  His smile, wit, charm, sense of humor, and heart were unmatched and the world was a better place with him in it.  A celebration of life will be held May 5, 2018 on Navarre Beach.  In lieu of flowers, a donation to his wife can be made via GoFundMe fundraiser created by his daughter, Valerie Pettis, to assist in final arrangement costs.  McLaughlin Mortuary has been entrusted with his final arrangements.
