Naomi D. Frazier passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on November 24, 2018 at the age of 88. Born in Clifton Forge, Virginia in 1930 to the late Rev. Joseph Downey and Edna Downey. After graduating from high school she married Garnett (Bill or Wink) Frazier and her life as a military wife began. She loved life to the fullest. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren meant the world to her. Standing less than 5’ tall she was a force to be reckoned with, a great manager of life, rearing 4 boys and 2 girls and all the neighborhood children with ease. Mentoring everyone she knew with sage advice, she wasn’t one to mince words. Known as Mom, Mom Frazier, Mamma, G-ma, Granny, GiGi, Naomi or Titter by those who loved her. Naomi loved practical jokes and pulled many during her years working for Okaloosa County Schools at Pryor and Choctaw. After retiring in 1993 she enjoyed her family and friends whenever possible. Proceeded in death by: her parents, her siblings, her loving husband Bill and son Greg. Survived by: 3 sons Don Frazier, Bill Frazier and Jim Frazier and 2 daughters Jenny Sumblin and Sandy From, 7 grandchildren Kristel Robison, Todd Frazier, Jason Frazier, Dallas Frazier, Alison Williams, Dawn Frazier and Lindsey VanArsdel and 6 great grandchildren. Visitation is Thursday, November 29, 2018, 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at McLaughlin Mortuary 17 Chestnut Avenue, SE Fort Walton Beach, FL. Funeral Service will be held at McLaughlin Mortuary November 30, 2018 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Live Oak Cemetery in Crestview, FL immediately following the service.
