The first time I met Olivia was quite memorable. We had just moved into the little rental house next door to the Roark's and I was unloading my first load of groceries with 2 year old twin girls. Olivia came over with a welcome to the neighborhood pecan pie when we realized one of my girls was nowhere to be found! Olivia alerted the neighborhood and before I knew it Olivia, Linda Lester, and assorted children along with the family dogs were searching for her. After scouring the waterfront to no avail we walked up the street and saw her in the horse pen with probably five or six horses who were running around frantically because of all the excitement (people & dogs barking) Olivia was the first at the gate and walked right in and got the wayward two year old to safety and to a forever grateful mom! That was just the beginning of a thirty-nine year loving relationship between neighbors. We love you Olivia.

Olivia was a special lady!!! She was filled with joy and laughter! She loved God! She loved her family! And, she was a wonderful friend to so many! Those of us who were lucky enough to call her our friend, cherish our times with her. Our sadness is overwhelming at this time -- but, as we recall the special moments with her, and, our shared laughter, we can smile and be grateful that we had her in our lives for as long as we did. Our thoughts, prayers, and, love go out to her family during this very difficult time. May God be with all of you and give you peace of mind knowing that she is, already, planning her flower garden in Heaven and the birds are chirping, joyfully, as she fills her bird feeders and prepares the ground for her favorite flowers. God Bless!
