Tribute

Patricia “Pat” Mannion Hatch passed away on December 17, 2020 at the age of 94. She was born in South Jordan, UT to Henrietta and Thomas Mannion. Pat was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband of 59 years, Gus L. Hatch; sons Thomas and Gregory; son-in-law John C Harrison; sisters Doreen Delaney and Margaret Brown.

Pat is survived by her daughter Julie Hatch (Jim Palmer), son Tracy Hatch (Brenda Buchan), daughter-in-law Shelley C. Hatch sister Colleen Noall and brother Jack Mannion (Terry).  She is also survived by grandchildren, Robert Hatch, Tess Hatch Murray (Devin), Joshua Harrison, Jennie Harrison Kroeger (Ryan), Jordan Harrison (Danielle Hess) and great-grandchildren, Hunter and Heston Murray and Anna Kroeger. She is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pat was a longtime and active member of Shalimar United Methodist Church. Pat served her community as a poll worker through many elections, delivered Meals on Wheels, visited nursing home residents, and headed up charitable drives. Pat was most proud of her time spent with US Public Health Service welcoming and processing the Vietnamese refugees who were brought into Eglin AFB. She cherished the experience and friendships formed there. She was known as a gracious and welcoming hostess to all who visited her home. Most of all, she was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Her adventurous often feisty spirit and wry sense of humor will be missed and the memories treasured.

As per her wishes and due to Covid-19 concerns, there will be no formal service. A private family gathering in celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

Our sincere gratitude goes out to the staff at Belvedere Commons for their kindness and care as well as the compassionate and dedicated nurses of Emerald Coast Hospice.

Any who would like to honor Pats memory may make a donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital (262 S. Danny Thomas Blvd., Memphis, TN 38105) or to Children in Crisis of Ft. Walton Beach (100 Luke’s Way, Ft. Walton Beach, FL 32547 or donate@childrenincrisisfl.org)
