Patricia Roy

Patricia Anne Roy died peacefully in her home on June 1, 2021 in Fort Walton Beach, FL after a short illness. Her memorial mass will be held Thursday June 10, 2021 at 10am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, FWB. Patty was born September 1, 1929 in Ambridge, PA to Zita and Edward Troll. She spent her childhood in Somerset, PA and later attended Seton Hill University. She graduated in 1951 with a degree in Sociology with a minor in Fine Art. She also attended Art School in Syracuse, NY and provided art design illustrations and window design work for major department stores in Pittsburgh, PA.

Patricia married Robert Walker Roy on November 19, 1952. They raised four children, three daughters and a son. As an Air Force wife, she and the family moved about the country serving in several different locations until the family settled in Fort Walton Beach, FL. Patty was an enthusiast with all that she loved. First and foremost, her love was for faith and family. She viewed life through an artist’s eye and saw everything with beauty, grace and joy. Patty loved the beach, the mountains, and traveling. Her passions were designing and decorating, painting, but most of all spending time enjoying and loving her family.

Patricia Anne Roy is survived by her husband of 70 years Robert Walker Roy; her children Kathryn Roy Norris (Neil Norris, spouse), Tricia Roy Blumberg (Leo Blumberg, spouse), Robert Edward Roy (Jacqueline Roy, deceased spouse; Christi Neslage), Julie Roy Baker (Ken Baker, spouse). Patty and Bob had 4 children, 15 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren. The love of family was her greatest joy. Patricia Roy was a gift to all that knew her and will be greatly missed.
