Patsy Nellums a lifelong resident of Fort Walton Beach, passed away peacefully at home, Monday April 4th at the age of 88, surrounded by her family.

She owned Pats Bait and Tackle for 36 years and retired at the age of 85.  It was most definitely her calling in life because she got to meet and love so may people along her journey.  Over the years she had a wall of pictures in her store that showed generations of families fishing.   Her real enjoyment came from seeing all the people going fishing every day.  But when they would come back just to show her what they had caught, then that’s when it was Special.

She was truly an inspiration to her children.  Prior to the bait store she owned and operated the Fort Walton Beach Catering Service for over 10 years.   She also, leased and ran the concession stand at John C. Beasley state park for a few years.

Pat is preceded in death by her son Norman Nellums and her daughter Nancy Nellums Clark, whom both left her way to soon.

Pat is survived by her daughter Gail Wilson (Eric).  Ten Grandkids Hunter Wilson; Chandler Wilson; Tyler Wilson; Joshua Crissman; Matthew Clark; Jessica Nellums; Shelby Nellums; Joseph Nellums; Kayla Nellums; Trever Nellums and 5 Great Grandkids.   All of whom she loved with all her heart.

She lived a full and happy life and will be remembered as one of the kindest and most loving person.

I love you so much mom and RIP.

In keeping with the wishes of Patsy, there will be no funeral services.

I would like to say a very special thanks to Lena Parker for helping me take care of her.
