Rev. S. David Beiler

April 3, 1947 ~ November 18, 2021 (age 74) 74 Years Old

Tribute

Reverend Samuel David Beiler III went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at the age of 74. He was born April 3, 1947, in Allentown, PA.

The son of a minister, Pastor Beiler spent several of his early childhood years in West Virginia and remainder of his childhood and early adult life years in Virginia Beach, VA. He felt the call to ministry at the age of 16. Shortly thereafter he began ministering through church mission trips. After earning his bachelor’s degree from Northeast Bible Institute in Green Lane, PA, Pastor Beiler served in home missions and planted a church in Gloucester, VA. He later pastored in Moultrie, GA, before accepting his final pastorate in Fort Walton Beach, FL, in 1981. Pastor Beiler served for over 30 years as the pastor for Evangelistic Centre Assembly of God in Fort Walton Beach, FL, with his wife at his side. He was an ordained minister for over 50 years with the Assemblies of God.

Pastor Beiler married the love of his life, Linda, on Feb. 23, 1974. They raised three children and had 33 happy years together before she went home to Jesus in 2007.

In his many years as a minister, Pastor Beiler held hands at sick beds, dedicated new infants, preached the gospel, officiated countless marriages, prayed continuously with anyone in need, served as a chaplain in hospitals, and was a loyal friend to the hurting.

If you knew Pastor Beiler, you considered him family. He had endearing, quiet humor, and was a gentle soul who could speak the truth with such love. The love was hard to miss.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Linda J. Beiler, his mother, Margaret Beiler, and his father, Rev. Samuel D. Beiler Jr.

He is survived by the children he adored: Samuel David Beiler IV and Amy (Bixby, OK),  Erica Akin and Michael (Atlanta, GA), and Jonathan Beiler (Salt Lake City, UT); by four brothers: Clark Beiler (Teresa) of Bay Minette, AL, Marshall Beiler (Brenda) of Rice, VA, Stephen Beiler of Chesapeake, VA, and Scott Beiler (Christine) of Toney, AL; by one sister: Margie Richard (David) of Jacksonville Beach, FL; and by his grandchildren: Joshua Beiler, Caleb Beiler, Lydia Beiler, Daniel Akin, and Kirsten Akin. He is also survived by his aunt, Barbara Johnson of Chesapeake, VA, and many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.
