Robert Charles Iversen

Robert Charles Iversen was born to Richard and Doris (VanWickler) Iversen September 8, 1943, in Rockville Centre, on Long Island, New York. He passed away August 16, 2020 in Fort Walton Beach, FL at the age of 76.

Bob received his education in Long Island, New York and joined the military shortly after graduation. He served 21 years in the military before retiring from the service at Hurlburt Field AFB.  Bob then went on to work for the City of Fort Walton Beach for over 20 years before retiring in 2006.  He enjoyed spending his free time fishing, boating and working in his wood shop. 

Bob was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughter: Lauren (Stella) Iversen of Phoenix, AZ; Son: Robert (Kristin) Iversen of Shalimar, FL; Granddaughter: Alayna Iversen; Two sisters: Janet Greiner and Marie (Mike) Palmieri of Woodstock, Connecticut; Niece and nephew: Jackie and Santi Palmieri.. 

Due to CoVid-19 restrictions and safety precautions, there will be a private family celebration of life.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
