Roxanne Posey

Roxanne “Rockie” Virginia Posey was a caring, selfless mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world with her loved ones by her side on August 31, 2021 at age 62 to be with her savior Jesus Christ.

She was born to Harvey Gene Carter and Imogene Mayo Carter on October 12, 1958, in Hampton, Virginia. Roxanne is survived by her (son) David Russell Posey Jr, (grandson) Oliver Finn Posey, (daughter in law) Amber Rae Posey, (mother) Imogene Mayo Carter, (sisters) Laura Sinks, Dreama Sheilds, Angela Riss, (brother) Jeffery Carter and family members William Posey, Cindy Posey, and Styles Posey. Her selfless sweet attitude and bright smile will be missed by her family, friends, and at Captain Dave’s where she worked as a waitress for over 30 years.

Roxanne loved spending time at the beach with her family and friends, creating memories that will last forever. She was a kind, selfless, fun-loving Angel to anyone that crossed her path and filled her home with love and light.

Roxanne will be honored in a beach-side celebration of life, 4 pm- 6 pm on September 12, 2021, at the Henderson Beach State Park in Destin, Florida (Pavilion A).
