Tribute

Ruth Ketchum, 87, from North Syracuse, NY passed away in Niceville, Florida, on 7/6/19.

Ruthie’s life was filled with family, friends and music. She sang with Sweet Adelines, State Fair Singers, Hamer Sing Along Group, Faith Journey United Methodist Church Choir, Cicero United Methodist Church Choir, and her siblings at every opportunity.

Ruthie was an active senior. She attended Kelly Lyn Fitness Spa on a regular basis for 30+ years. She especially enjoyed senior aerobics and hula hoop.

She traveled extensively with her husband Harry Ketchum, her high school sweetheart. She also traveled with Merwin Jones, her second husband. Both predeceased her. It’s not often companionship is found a third time, as was the case with Jim Ingersoll. Our family is thankful to Jim for taking such good care of our Mom.

Ruthie will be remembered for her sweetness and smile, her visor, and her wonderful hugs.

She is survived by: her children, Pam (Gary) Proctor, David (Nancy) Ketchum, and Kathy (Wayne) Boudoin; by her grandchildren Randall (Shannon) Proctor, David Ketchum (Sarah Wright), Leeann Ketchum (Justin Davenport), Joseph Ketchum, Daniel Ketchum, Steve (Ale) Boudoin, Stephanie Boudoin (Doug Jann), and Christopher Boudoin; by great-grandchildren Nate Davenport, Alex Davenport, Luca Amato, Brianna Ketchum, Maci Ketchum, Bella Boudoin, Nathaniel Rewinkel, and Jeremiah Rewinkel; by in-laws Lois Walker, Sheila Stone, Ruthie Wygant, and Roger White; by step-children Eric (Lorena) Jones, Barbara (Richard) Cain, Stephen Jones, Karen Jones, Pam (Robert) Wiebusch, Peter Jones, and Robin (Frederick) Scott. Ruthie is also survived by muti-generation nieces and nephews.

Ruthie was predeceased by: her husbands, Harry Ketchum and Merwin Jones; her son Harry Scott Ketchum; her mother and father, Maud Wygant and Scott Wygant; brothers, Albert ( Buddy) Wygant, Bobby (Patty) Wygant, Charles (Harriet) Richardson; by sisters Marion (Paul) Coe, Pearl (Frank) Babiarz, Louise (Jim) Hotaling, Helen Grace Wygant; brothers-in-law Bobby White and Joseph Stone, Sr.
