Ruth Taylor

Ruth Anne Taylor reached the end of her wonderful life, September 10, 2021, at the age of 80.

Born in Providence, RI September 4, 1941, Ruth was raised in Massachusetts. After graduation from Brockton High School in 1959, she attended Massachusetts College of Arts. She then enlisted in the USAF as a Medic. She married her husband, Samuel Taylor in 1962, together they opened Sam’s Oyster House in Fort Walton.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Hugene Taylor, and grandson Matthew Davis. She is survived by her 2 children, Samuel (Scooter) Taylor and his wife, Kristen of Navarre, FL; Stewart Taylor and his wife Jackie of Baker, FL. She leaves behind her grandchildren, Samantha Taylor, Darian Lundy, Rena Taylor, Mya Taylor, Jessica Davis, Kyle Davis, and Laura Davis; great-grandchildren Bella Malone, Bayleigh Joyner, and Connor Joyner. She also leaves behind many other family members and dear friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services will be held at Beal Memorial Cemetery, 316 NW Beal Pwky, on October 24th at 10 am.
