Sandra Gail Kimball

Sandra Gail “Grandi” Kimball returned to her Heavenly Father on May 17, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer.  She was 75 years old.

Gail was born in Atlanta, Georgia and spent her final 37 years as a resident of Niceville, Florida.  She was a loyal member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and devoted her life to serving others.  A teacher prior to retiring, she was a frequent volunteer at the Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center and the Family History Center of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. 

Although she ultimately lost her battle with cancer, she never lost faith and always displayed an unmatched inner strength.  She put her loved ones first, and no matter how sick she was, she maintained perspective and stayed strong.

Gail did not remarry after the death of her husband Quenton, who predeceased her by 35 years. She raised their four children as a single mother, and rarely missed a chance to attend her children’s, and then later, her grandchildren’s, games and events. Her grandchildren will miss “Grandi’s” voice and encouragement from the sidelines.

Gail is survived by her four children, daughters, Dawn Kimball Key and Sandi Kimball, of Niceville, Florida; and sons Bill Kimball (wife Rochelle) of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida and Ric Kimball (wife Niki) of Kennesaw, Georgia.  She is also survived by her sister Debbie Mann and her seven grandchildren, Emily Key, T.W. Key, Elizabeth Kimball, Makenzie Kimball, Aubrie Kimball, Lila Kimball and Ethan Kimball.  

The family will be holding a brief memorial service on Friday, May 21, 2021 at 2:00pm at the Niceville Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1100 Palm Blvd South, Niceville, Florida 32578.  The family will be receiving guests prior to the service at the same location at 1:30pm.
