Sylvia Elizabeth Shackleford Dilda

Sylvia E. Shackleford Dilda (79) of Ft. Walton Beach, FL went home to be with her Lord on February 6, 2019. She was born in Pitt County, NC and lived her youth in Farmville, NC and most of her adult life in Fort Walton Beach, FL. She was a member of Fort Walton Beach First United Methodist Church, and she retired from J.C. Penney’s in 1991. She was preceded in death by her parents John W. and Mandy E. Shackleford, her sister, Doris Carraway and brother-in-law Al Stuart Carraway, her brother John W. Shackleford Jr. and sister-in-law Pat Shackleford. She is survived by daughter Karen Johnson (Mike) of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, Marla Langford (Bill) of Sumter, SC and four grandchildren Timothy Langford (Amanda) of Sumter, SC, David Johnson (Lacey) of Colorado Springs, CO, Thomas Langford (Lori) of Sumter, SC, and Danielle Johnson of Ft. Walton Beach, FL and 10 great grandchildren. She loved her family, her Lord and her church.   Services will be held at McLaughlin Mortuary Chapel, 17 Chestnut Avenue SE, Fort Walton Beach, FL on Friday February 8, 2019.  The family will receive friends at 4:00 pm with a Celebration of Life to follow at 5:00 pm
