Just the other day a friend asked me who was my first “crush” in school . Without any hesitation I said Sandi Donavan from Pardee School . I was 8 yrs old I believe at the time . She was the sweetest and prettiest girl at Pardee School. I walked her home a number of times from school . She lived on Winton Rd near Empire Blvd. I remember her Mom and sister also . They were wonderful . I don’t believe I saw her again after 6th grade but could never forget her . God bless her family .

I sat on the Arc’s Cash Reimbursement committee for so many years with Sandi. Her humor, her intelligence, her beauty, her insight, her compassion and empathy for what she did and who she was was always evident. When she was first diagnosed with cancer she was quiet, dignified and was determined to see grandchildren. She was blessed with so many I know she gave each child so much love. Prayers for God’s grace at this difficult time.
