Thanks to those who honor Marian's career as an Air Force nurse. As the niece of Lois Climenhaga, I also knew Marian as a loving and committed friend. I know she is grieved and missed, but memories of her good works will live on.

In my heart, I know Marian was loved by family and friends, and by those who were touched and comforted by her caring hands. She was one of us - a United States Air Force Nurse. She chose to serve this great nation with dedication in the care of our military airmen and soldiers. We must all honor her.

On behalf of her sister and brother nurses within the nine states encompassing the North Central Region of the Society of Air Force Nurses, we mourn Marian's passing. We wish comfort to her family and friends.

This ANGEL had wings of comfort!

On behalf of the Society of the Air Force Nurses, please know that we are also mourning with you the death of our friend and colleague, Colonel Marian Meads. You are not alone in remembering a truly wonderful person who made a difference in the lives of so many. She was a longtime member of the Society, and we will be making a donation in the memory of Colonel Meads to the Women's Memorial Foundation. Marian will be missed, and she will most definitely not be forgotten by her "Air Force Nursing Family." Linda J. Stierle, Brigadier General, USAF, Nurse Corps (Retired)
